Welcome to Mrs. Hay's Library Page!

I graduated high school from Somerset many, many moons ago. I attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown for my BS in Elementary Education. I attended Frostburg State University and received a Master's in Guidance and Counseling K-12, and lastly, I attended St. Vincent University for my Master's in Library Science K-12.

I have been a "Rockwoodian" since 1996. I began my career as a substitute teacher in local schools. I was then hired at St. Peter's Catholic School in Somerset for 8 years. I came to Rockwood in 2008 as a Classrooms of the Future Coach. In 2009-2010 I began teaching 4th grade. I was a fourth grade teacher until I began library duties in the 2013-2014 school year. I am in both libraries and love that I see all the students and try to instill the love of reading to all children and adults. I am also the English as a Second Language teacher, and Gifted Support teacher.

I am married to Jeff and have one son, Andy. I enjoy reading, of course, cardmaking, eating out, and the beach.
